JMIR Publications is dedicated to acknowledging the crucial role our peer reviewers play in maintaining the quality and integrity of the scholarly work we publish. As a token of our appreciation, we've established a number of programs to recognize the contributions of its reviewers.
1. Karma Reviewer Rewards Program
The Karma Reviewer Rewards Program is our exclusive merit-based program designed to recognize and reward high-quality peer review contributions. Through this program, reviewers earn redeemable credits that can support their future publishing efforts.
2. ORCID Reviewer Recognition with JMIR
JMIR Publications' peer reviewers now have the option to add records of their completed reviews to ORCID’s Peer Review Activity section.
ORCID reviewer recognition is a feature that allows reviewers of scholarly manuscripts to receive credit for their peer review activities on their ORCID profiles. ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a unique identifier for researchers that helps connect their work, affiliations, and contributions across the scholarly ecosystem.
3. Web of Science Reviewer Recognition with JMIR
We have partnered with the Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service (formerly Publons) to provide JMIR Publications peer reviewers with official recognition for their contributions.
Web of Science Reviewer Recognition Service (formerly Publons) is a free service for researchers to effortlessly track, verify, and showcase their peer review contributions. The service records the number of papers you have reviewed for a journal while maintaining reviewer anonymity in accordance with each journal’s review policy.
4. JMIR Publications Peer Review Recognition Program
JMIR Publications is dedicated to acknowledging the crucial role our peer reviewers play in maintaining the quality and integrity of the scholarly work we publish. As a token of our appreciation, we've established a tiered recognition program for our most dedicated reviewers.
