JMIR has agreed to provide a 10% discount on Article Processing Fees (APFs) for researchers currently affiliated with CRKN member institutions. For more information and to receive your discount code please visit this page.
Who is eligible?
- Corresponding authors must be affiliated with a CRKN member institution.
Are all types of articles eligible?
- Yes, the discount can be applied to any Article Processing Fee in all JMIR journals. The article must be accepted for publication after January 1, 2026.
Is there an end date for the discount?
- There is no determined end date. When it does come to an end, any articles under review will remain eligible for the discount.
Do you verify the domain of the email addresses? If an author tries to get the discount with another address, will that work too?
- Please use the institutional email domain to allow easy administration. Authors attempting to use a non-institutional email domain may experience delays or denial of the discount.
How do I have the discount applied to my APF?
- If you have completed the request form and received the email with your discount code, you can apply it during the payment process.
Is the discount available retroactively if an author was unaware of it at the time of payment?
- Unfortunately, no. This is only available at the time of payment.
Do you provide reports to institutions detailing the publications and authors that benefited from the discount?
- We will provide publication data to CRKN member libraries upon request. Please contact partnerships@jmir.org.
