How can I promote my article and make sure it is read and cited a lot?

Citations and attention are usually a function of quality and importance, but a clear and interesting title and abstract help tremendously.

In addition, authors should use social media to disseminate the article post-publication. Also, speak to the press office at your university to ask if they can send out a press release.
