The Editorial and Production teams of JMIR Publications are implementing a new pre-production process, beginning with select journals, to ensure that papers are processed and published quickly and efficiently, adhering to the fast turnaround times required in scientific publishing. To this effect, authors will be contacted shortly after acceptance via email and be requested to provide essential items for publication and resolve crucial issues in the paper, so that our editorial and style policies are met.
This pre-production step will be undertaken by a member of the Production team, who will be the point of contact for the authors as well as guide and assist authors with all the necessary items required in this process.
Please note that the paper will not enter Production until all these items have been provided. Therefore, it is up to the authors to provide these items in a timely manner. Once the paper and all its accompanying documentation is complete, we will send the manuscript forward to begin the Production process (starting with Copyediting).
The alternate pre-production process is currently implemented for the following journals:
- JMIR Public Health and Surveillance
- JMIR Mental Health
- JMIR Serious Games
- JMIR Human Factors
- JMIR Medical Informatics
- JMIR mHealth and uHealth
