Impact Factors: Fifteen of our journals have impact factors ranging from 1.4 to 5.8. The flagship journal of JMIR Publications, the Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR), is consistently ranked Q1 (Clarivate) by impact factor in the Medical Informatics category, including the latest version released in June 2024 (current JCR impact factor 2023: 5.8). After receiving its inaugural impact factor in 2021, in 2024 JMIR Public Health and Surveillance continues to maintain a Q1 ranking in the Public, Environmental & Occupational Health subjects category and received an impact factor of 3.5. JMIR mHealth and uHealth is also ranked Q1 by impact factor in the Health Care Sciences & Services as well as the Medical Informatics subject category, with a current impact factor of 5.4. JMIR Mental Health (JMH) ranked Q1 in the Psychiatry subject category and received an impact factor of 4.8, recognizing the important work that has been published since the journal first launched in 2014. JMIR Serious Games ranked Q1 in the Health Care Sciences & Services subject category and remains an important games-related journal of those ranked in SCIE with an impact factor of 3.8. JMIR Medical Informatics received an impact factor of 3.1.
In 2023, JMIR Aging, JMIR Pediatrics and Parenting, JMIR Medical Education, JMIR Cancer, JMIR Human Factors, JMIR Formative Research, Interactive Journal of Medical Research and JMIR Research Protocols received inaugural impact factors. In 2024, JMIR Aging ranked Q1 in the subject category of Gerontology and received an impact factor of 5.0. JMIR Pediatrics and Parenting ranked Q1 in the subject category of Pediatrics and received an impact factor of 2.1. JMIR Medical Education ranked Q1 in Education, Scientific Disciplines category and received an impact factor of 3.2. JMIR Cancer, JMIR Human Factors, JMIR Formative Research, Interactive Journal of Medical Research, and JMIR Research Protocols received impact factors of 3.3, 2.6, 2.0, 1.9 and 1.4 respectively.
In 2024, JMIR Infodemiology ranked Q1 in Public, Environmental & Occupational Health and Health Care Sciences and Services categories and received an inaugural impact factor of 3.5.
h-index (h5) / Google Scholar: Google Scholar ranks journals by a 5-year h-index (h5), and according to that metric, in the Medical Informatics subcategory, the Journal of Medical Internet Research (JMIR) is ranked #1. JMIR mHealth and uHealth is #5, JMIR Medical Informatics is #14, JMIR Serious Games #18 and JMIR Formative Research #20 (2024). In the Public Health subcategory, JMIR Public Health and Surveillance is #8.

Paper 45. http://scholarworks.wmich.edu/ichita_transactions/45), JMIR and it's (then) 2 sister journals JMIR Medical Informatics and JMIR mHealth were all ranked in the top tier, namely in the A+ (top 5%) and A (top 20%) tiers. JMIR Publications is the only publisher with 3 journals in the top 9 journals rated A or A+.
