If you still have access to your old email address, we ask you to use the regular password reset function (see I forgot my JMIR password). The reset function requires you to click on a link which will be emailed to you, so you do need access to your email
If you have no longer access to your email, contact tech-support@jmir.org and ask them to change the email address we have on file to your new email address or to reset the password manually (and email you a new password). The new email address should be an institutional email address and cannot be a @hotmail or @yahoo or @gmail address etc.
To proof that you are the person you claim to be (i.e. the old user) please send your email from an institutional account (e.g. @university.edu) and ideally provide a link to a third-party website (e.g. a faculty webpage) which mentions that you changed affiliations or graduated etc, or mention a submitted/archived/rejected manuscript submitted to us.
