PubMed and PubMed Central (PMC) are both free, publicly available resources developed by the US National Library of Medicine (NLM). PubMed is a database primarily containing citations and abstracts for biomedical and life sciences literature. PMC is a free, full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences literature.
Most JMIR Publications journals are indexed in PubMed and PMC. If a journal isn't yet listed, it's typically new and/or undergoing evaluation by NLM. We apply once 25 papers are published; if accepted, indexing will be retrospective from Volume 1.
