In short: No, don't do that.
CORRECT is:
1. first name is the given name, e.g. Rui Xiang or Christian etc.
2. last name is the family name, e.g. Cheng or Smith etc.
DO NOT switch this around only because you do not like the order in which they are presented underneath the article title.
We use the Western convention in listing first (=given) / last (=family) name on the title page, and as "lastname first-initials" in the "please cite as" lines (as they also appear in Pubmed and other bibliographic indices).
Please do not enter the given name in the "last name" field and vice versa. This will lead to a semantically wrong submission to Pubmed and other indices, and will make the paper unretrievable if somebody searches for all papers by author "Cheng" (last name). Our article files are also not simply HTML or PDF, but are actually XML files, with first names tagged as given names, and last names tagged as last names. All this will be wrong if the names are not entered in the correct fields.
